I work to what I consider to be high ethical standards.

I always appreciate that, as a stranger in your home, there is a level of trust and respect given and received.

I always respect other people’s property, and as such, I protect all surfaces with towels before any tools or products are placed down on your surfaces. To protect your floor from damage, I place a thick foam wide mat with a waterproof sheet down to protect against any greasy, dirty drips on your floor (for example, a beautiful parquet floor).

With build-in ovens, I always place a towel over the drawer immediately beneath the oven to prevent any possible drips from leaking into the drawer below.

When applicable, I will always advise you of any extra charges before I proceed, such as replacing a blown bulb. Before I replace a bulb, I will always explain that in most cases the bulb has blown due to age etc, however, if the hidden cause of the blown bulb is due to an electrical fault within the oven, then the new bulb will immediately blow again and, most likely, trip your mains circuit breaker. Unfortunately, if this happens, I would still have to charge you, as I cannot resell the blown bulb! So, the decision is yours to make.

Many of my customers work from home and are often on conference calls; I always aim to work as quietly as possible during these times.

I do not stop work for lunch breaks; I will eat as and when, during my time at the van.

Should nature call, I always ask permission, and I always leave your toilet or bathroom exactly as I found it; the toilet seat always goes down!

After the work is complete, I always brush up any debris using my own dustpan and brush and bin liner; I will never put any debris in your own kitchen bin. I wipe down the surfaces of all drawers and doors surrounding the built-in oven, ensuring no drips or splashes remain.
